Vitória Régia is a popular folklore tale originated from Brazilian native american stories of a indigenous girl who fell in love with the moon, and one day upon seeing the moon's reflection on a lake, the girl jumped in the water to get closer to her love, but unfortunately, she drowned, being reborn as a lilly pad: a star-shaped flower, every night staying by the side of the moon's reflection on the water.
