Examples of the different simple reel ideas for a local restaurant, Johnny B's in Addison. Client did not create any branding at the time, but wanted to make sure the existing online presence was different from previous owners. An Instagram account was created and the focus on reels began.
Examples of the different simple reel ideas for a local restaurant, Johnny B's in Addison. Client did not create any branding at the time, but wanted to make sure the existing online presence was different from previous owners. An Instagram account was created and the focus on reels began.
IDEA
The idea behind it was to reintroduce the restaurant to the old audience, as well as find a new audience, by utilizing Reels. Our challenge was also to deliver a variety of content with the limited resources available, without constantly reusing previous content or having each reel look similar.

The idea behind it was to reintroduce the restaurant to the old audience, as well as find a new audience, by utilizing Reels. Our challenge was also to deliver a variety of content with the limited resources available, without constantly reusing previous content or having each reel look similar.
SOLUTION
To achieve the simple and effortless style, three styles of reels were created for the channel: Informational, Montages, and One-Shot Audio Focused.
Informational Reels were created for the restaurant to share information that the restaurant wanted to share in a fun and memorable pay compared to having the audience read the caption of a standard post. Reels that fall into this category tend to have announcements, updates on any changes, and instructional videos when launching online orders.
Montages were created to highlight a variety of different food items available at the restaurant. These videos are typically edited and sometimes color corrected depending on the theme or audio trend. These video were intended to be used to help entertain a new audience, and have the potential to become branded content or reused as advertisements on Facebook.

One-Shot Audio Focus Reels were created not only to utilize trending audio, but as simplistic and effortless post that can show off the restaurant and its products. Typically these videos are one-shot without any editing, or with adding one or two unedited clips together that compliments the audio. These posts can also be considered filler content, posts that have no true intention and to help fill up the feed with content that hasn't been used before.
