Sustainable Lalibela
Brand Identity, Booklet Design and Website - 2021 to 2023
The French Center for Ethiopian Studies contacted us in early May 2021, seeking assistance in developing a brand identity, designing booklets and developing a website for their initiative, Sustainable Lalibela. This project is focused on enhancing heritage management and conservation by providing training programs for Ethiopian students, professionals, and craftsmen, as well as conducting on-site restoration work. It is part of the Franco-Ethiopian cooperation program and aims to restore, preserve, and promote the Lalibela site. We were delighted to collaborate with them, as we wholeheartedly support this endeavor.
Locally made logo
The project's logo was created through a partnership with Tegegne Yirdaw, a talented artist from Lalibela. Together, they brought a modern twist to the design, capturing the essence of the vibrant yet delicate heritages.
Vibrant look and feel
The vibrant appearance captivates the readers, showcasing a lively emotion that combines traditional and contemporary elements. The visual design incorporates a blend of shapes, colors, and images, effectively portraying the delicate state of the churches and the ongoing efforts to restore them.
Fruitful collaboration
Our collaboration was incredibly productive as we worked closely with the project team. Regular work meetings allowed us to achieve our goals in a timely and satisfying manner.
“The results have made us very happy. It's what we wanted with the addition of Bete-Semay's creativity. All conversations were nice and that made the process very efficient. It was based on regular communications and exchange of great ideas. With their sensitivity to the project and creativity of added value, the team has met our expectations by working perfectly with our concepts.”
