You’ve booked the holiday, bought the summer dress and are now counting
down the days until you can strip off and dive into the sea. But what to do while
you’re waiting for the off? Here at F&F we use these run-up days to prep our skin
and get our bodies beach-ready so we’re feeling like an A-lister when our toes
touch the sand. We love actress Olivia Wilde flawless yet natural look, and if you
follow our five tips, you can look equally glowing and gorgeous, too.

1. Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate! Whether it’s with a body polish or dry
brushing, this will not only prepare your skin for the next stages, it will
also feel amazing and get your heart pumping.
2. Moisturise. Do this last thing at night to maximize the benefits and wake
up with super-soft skin.
3. Apply fake tan in stages and use the correct colour for your skin.
4. Choose swimwear that flatters and accentuates your body. Smaller
women should opt for bandeau styles with pleating at the front to add
volume. Curvier women should go for plunging necklines and halternecks.
We’ve picked out three of our favourite F&F pieces below.
5. Cut the junk. Swap chocolate for fruit and meat for vegetables, and drink
plenty of water – 2.5 litres a day will help flush out the toxins. Sushi,
salads and smoothies will have you looking good and feel great for
summer.
Blue was the colour of choice this summer for celebrities like Britney Spears and
Katy Perry, who were recently spotted wearing Smurfette blue at the premiere
of The Smurfs 2 movie. Perry shone in a Tashadi Shoji evening dress and Pedro
Garcia heels, while Spears rocked a figure-hugging turquoise bandage dress.
Here at F&F we’re loving the Smurf trend so we’ve picked out four must-have
dresses to banish your style blues. It’s best to choose a tone and shape that
flatters your figure – navy looks best on pale skin; turquoise is striking on darker
skin. Plunging necklines will accentuate a fuller bust, and drawstring waists
are slimming. For all you smaller ladies out there, go for horizontal stripes and
anything with texture and pattern to add a bit of volume. Stripes and tie-dye
is big this season, so why not combine two hot trends for extra summer style
points?
