The Analog App

The Bullet Journal system is personal project. It's a collection of life-tracking methods that I've been devloping and improving on for years. Despite all the apps out there, almost every designer and dev that I know still goes back to their notebooks when they work.

It's my little thank you to all the incredibly talented people out there that make their learnings freely available to us all.

The most challenging part about building the site is figuring out the pacing and trajectory of the lessons. The solution I came up with was to create an interactive tutorial that takes the user through the process step by step using visual guides when necessary.

The Original Video

To help people dive in to the site more quickly, I shot an overview video. I used stop-motion to make the whole thing a little more approachable and fun. I shot, scripted, and edited the video in the course of one day.

The Kickstarter Video

After a year of watching the community improve what I had originally put out there, I decided to create a Kickstarter campaign to raise the funds to launch an offical "Bullet Journal" note book as well as build a new site. The campaign was susccefully funded within 24 hours of launch.
