Madrid #YoMeQuedoEnCasa

Madrid. 3/2020

Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, the Madrid Council launched an awareness campaign to encourage citizens to remain indoors during the most prolific stage of the pandemic to curb the spread of contamination.

The aim was to raise social awareness and to call for people to be responsible with a clear message. An adaptable system with a functional design was worked on - a system that could adapt to the evolution of the current situation.
Through different mediums - a strong message, colour and illustration, a two phase campaign was devised.

The first phase, coined, “Yo me quedo en casa” (Stay at home), included a rational message and the corporate colours of the Madrid Council.

Meanwhile the second phase would display a more positive colour and declare a more emotional message, “Tú lo harás posible” (You’ll make it possible), which hoped to implore each and every citizen to remember that only together can we overcome it.

During the campaign’s two months, its effects could be seen manifest throughout the entire city.
