This piece is a distorted aspect of a famous child's candy, manipulating the innocents it represents with a more darker, twisted perspective. I've created a villainous character appearing to be a mutation of all the starbursts combined. This is greatly influenced by the theme that the likes of "IT", "Coraline" and " tip toe through the tulips- by Tiny Tim" posses. The disturbingly happy persona also appears on the 1980's adverts for starbursts where their slogan was "bite into a starbursts and hold onto your tastebuds!", a big breeding ground for a more insane interpretation.
