4.2 Wayfinding: Spatial Thinking IOW 300
Brief

The project requires designing a wayfinding system for The University of Pretoria Hatfield campus. This in determining a route to walk for a tour to help people not only navigate their way about the campus but also orientating, guiding and informing them.

Deliverables

-Icons
-Route map
-Signage
-Application

Rationale
The architectural walking tour focuses on the building itself and the rich architectural history that comes with them since the day the University opened. The route is designed to make sight-seeing optimal and no back tracking on the route is needed to get to all of the buildings that need to be seen. The icons are designed to reflect an architectural part of each building and also in a style that links with hand drawn architectural plans.
