Using a given set of images, and the provided copy, I was tasked with redesigning a book jacket for The Worst Hard Time about the American Dust Bowl. Dust storms can be very devestating to agriculture and the people living in areas prone to them. This was especially true during the infamous Dust Bowl when agriculture was a main source of income for so many people. Having the farmer fading into the dust storm as if he is disappearing, signifies the dust storm overtaking his livelihood.
