My Pokémon Design
Below is my Pokémon called Belukha. He is a fictional Pokémon design presenting psychic and a water type Pokémon based on a Beluga whale. The task was to create a Pokémon using an animal of choice which in my case was a Beluga, I did this by adding parts from other Pokémon and the beluga whale itself like the big head to create Belukha. We had a strict canvas size of 48x48 to work with to make this sprite.
The colour pallet I used
Below is the colour is used for my Pokémon sprite which consist of 8 colour that I thought present water and psychic.
Early designs
In these designs I was figuring out what kind of body to go for to present my Pokémon if I wanted it to have 4 legs or 2, or it to stand up on 2 legs. All design concepts had the large head from the beluga which I kept through all the designs.
Final design
This is the final design I came up with for my first evolution of Pokémon called Belukha.
