TRIBAL RELIGION // INUIT

It's a Inuit mythology, "The old woman and her bear."

An old woman who had no family, no husband and sons to fish, so her neighbors shared their food with her. One day, she spotted a lonely polar bear, then took him hom, treated him like a son. She called him, Kunik. Kunik was a good fisherman, so that the men in the village were envious and wanted to kill him. The old woman decided to send Kunik aaway. After Kunik had left, the old woman couldn't help but wonder "Where could Kunik go?" She left home to find Kunik, after few hours, she found him. They met each other at same place every day. After awhile, the villagers grew to understand the love between them was strong and true. From that point on, they told with pride and respest the tale of the unbroken love between the old woman and her son, Kunik.
