In this Project I continued to design a building that includes 3 ateliers and an exhibition space for 8 specified works of art. Again I tried to create a harmony between big and small spaces, to reach this goal I wanted to represent every space in the exteriour of the building.
By extruding the plane's at different levels you are able to distinguish the different spaces inside the building. Again I kept the height of the exteriour walls the same so the plane's are more equal to one another.
The jumps in the facade also allow sunlight to enter the building.
Because of the difference in sizes of exhibition space needed for the art works, naturaly there form a certain hierarchy. To even those different sizes I made levels in the ceiling indicating different spaces inside the building and creating an equality in the surfaces.
When watching a painting you don't want to be distracted by another painting in the corner of your eye's, therefor I turned each adjacent room 90degrees in relation to its neighboor so you always see only one picture at a time allowing you to completely focus on that particular painting or sculpture.
