Common Threads is a project developed for Patagonia's audience.
Common Threads was an old Patagonia project, and its principal goal was to promote circular economy. Our new goal is to create a new platform, where everyone can share sports equipment for free.
First ideas were presented online, and we received instant online feedback, making it very easy to understand which ideas were more catchy and fresh for the audience.
Common Threads has many meanings and is used in climbing slang.
It was very important to us to create a simple to use and easy web experience for our community.
The Common Thread community was born.
The user just had to create an account and use the platform to share and borrow sports material to other certified users.
The service was free and you you could only join in case you had an invitation from another community member.
Starting from the Patagonia brand itself, we created a simple three coloured brand, based on Patagonia's branding universe.
