Forte Flakes
For our first ever tee I wanted to do something fun with the photos, especially with the design being heaped in nostalgia.
The initial idea was to take all the pictures inside Tesco and have the model walk around in different aisles but navigating the awkwardness of people staring at you whilst doing their Sunday morning shopping and having a slightly annoyed security guard hawking down on us meant we only had a couple of minutes inside.
That idea then transformed into a 'fishing for cereal' concept once I discovered a lonely rowing boat was available to play around with.
JUAN001
With the launch of our debut vinyl record we decided to drop some tees alongside the release.
I had been to Boo Wax before (the record store where these pictures were taken) and loved the chaotic, rustic vibe of the place so it only made sense to come back to take a couple of pictures inside.
Papa Juan's
The Papa Juan's tee allowed for the chance of replicating the design of the tee into the photos, so first the thing I decided to do was to hunt for a Vespa that was local to Loughborough.
A couple of facebook groups later I struck gold. The owner was very patient, and the fear of accidentally toppling the ride surged enough adrenalin to illicit some sort of creative flight or fight response, I think I went with 'fight'.
Coco Dubs
We decided to have a full visual rebrand for Juan Forte and so it was only right to bring back the Cereal box concept on the first run of tees with the new logo.
The release was during the early days of Covid which meant indoor locations where off the cards. Having to plan around the lockdown was challenging but allowed me to do something slightly different with the photos.
