Recently there was a premiere of „Połączenia” album by Opał x Gibbs duo. Once again we had the pleasure to work on the visual layer of this album.
The main idea was to refer to the calls, that’s why throughout the whole promotion of the album and its release there is a phone theme like „swipe to unlock”, time, range, battery percentage and the tracklist was created in a form of a call list. We wanted the release to be one of the best and more pleasant to the touch, that’s why the wrapper was covered with flock. Inside, there is a three-bed digipack covered with matt foil, and the whole thing has been composed in white and red motifs.
When you open the digipack for the first time, you can see two symbols, and when you open the next one, you can see the middle part of the CD, which was made in red to contrast the white exterior. The CD was covered with a UV varnish imitating the grooves found on vinyl records. We departed from the standard approach to the booklet insert and decided to make a glued interpretation of each song in a graphic form with a selected verse. On the inside wings you can find information about the people involved in this project and a short text from the creators of the album. This album looks the same in every version that was available to buy.
The preorder DELUX version was completed with a spray can, a velour bag with Palo Santo and a card, a key ring, graffiti stencils, a pack of stickers and the whole thing was packed in one big velour bag with the logo of the connections.
Additionally, there was also merch that was available for purchase during pre-orders.
This is undoubtedly the best and most beautiful release we’ve had the opportunity to design from the very beginning and oversee the entire process. It came out beautifully.
