The client wanted to commision an unconventional family portrait, reminiscent of the "Where's Waldo?" illustrations, packed with detail and humor, wherein the client and her family members would be hidden all throughout the artwork.

The initial idea for this piece came from a poster I had created of EDSA, a notoriously congested highway in Manila, during the holiday rush: http://www.behance.net/gallery/Manila-Xmas-2012-Poster/6197381

After several studies, where the client approved the likenesses, I decided to set the scene in old Manila ca. 1950's, just at the end of the Spanish colonisation and the beginning of WWII.
Three giclee print editions were produced for the client to give as presents to her parents and brothers.
