My entry to the folio society competition. A series of illustrations for the book 'Heart of Darkness' by Joseph Conrad. The original novel is quite dark but rather than go down that road I wanted to keep the illustrations light hearted. I got a bit carried away making lots of patterns with dip pens and brushes for this project.
