One of the most famous short stories by the Brazilian writer Machado de Assis, A Cartomante brings us a story of betrayal with the characteristic irony of the author's works.
For this personal project, I developed a series of illustrations that accompany the story and set the mood for the narrative, focusing on young readers who are not yet familiar with the work of Machado de Assis.
