Le Creux Mahie : Guernsey Dry Gin

Le Creux Mahie is a Guernsey dry gin infused with kelp from the Guernsey seas.

The concept is based on the history of Guernsey. The island once a busy port attracting seamen of all disciplines. The name, taken from a gem of Guernsey is the largest cave on the island used extensively in the 1800 by smugglers, voyagers and pirates alike.

A unique bottle shape has been developed for this concept. An enhanced feeling in the hand is created by the bottle using a dashed track swirling around its edges inspired by those used by cartographers. At the base of the bottle we have wrapped it using Hemp rope which at the height of sea voyaging was commonly used on ships before modern alternatives. Encasing the bottle we have created the wooden globe, synonymous with travellers around the world a universal symbol that the world is far bigger than we realise and a reminder that we have it in the palm of our hand.

Among other small features that inspire the user to voyage throughout the world by any means we have attained our goal by creating a Guernsey led voyagers Gin inspiring the customer to explore the world much like those before us who discovered our fair island Guernsey.
