NATIVE RENAISSANCE
“Scientist.” That is my self description paraded in my bio. Not because I'm learned in any field of science, but because I’m curious about the science of things. My work is simply the offspring of all those special collisions, which is why I’m a notoriously slow storyteller who takes time to complete his work. My Fine Art project is a portrayal that frames a young black man in a sense of prestige, esteem and repute, in a manner somewhat reminiscent of the art renaissance era. My approach captures the softness and poses by attempting to strike a harmonious balance between classical and early Christian ideas, but showcased through a black lens.
