Bumble Bee Cosmetics

Bumble Bee Cosmetics focuses on making safe non-toxic nail polish for children. All products are washable and won’t leave any residue. The logo uses a cute bumble bee because Bumble Bee Cosmetics donates half the proceeds from each order  to Bee City Canada a charity focused on saving the bees across canada. All the branding is cute and colourful, making it easily accessible for younger audiences to learn more about bee conservation in canada and how they can help.
Each bottle of nail polish has its own individual box.You can buy them separately or as a set. Since these polishes are for kids they can peel off, each box has instructions on how to properly apply and remove it. All polishes also have their own colour name which I think adds a level of fun to each of them. all of them are named after something in nature that would be easily recognizable to a child and sticks with the nature theme

The front of each box is the same except for the colour name and a nickle sized circle indicating what the polish will look like after its dried. Peelable nail polish dries to a slightly darker shade so what you see in the bottle will differ from whats on your nails.
Each nail polish bottle has the same desinged wrap all the way around, with the logo and its classic purple and white flower design. under each logo the name of the colour is presented. i didnt add too much to this part of the packaging because each bottle is sold individually in its own box, so all the important information about each polish is already on the box and would be redundent to also have it on the bottle too.
Not everyone is skilled enough to paint tiny designs on their nails, but with these full length nail stickers anyone can look like a nail art pro. I’ve created 3 sets of full length nail stickers, each based on the nail polish colours. The bumble bee one to go with the Honey yellow polish, the Flower one to go with the lilac purple and the Ladybug one to go with Ladybug red.they are also non toxic and peelable just like the nail polish.
I made three ads for this brand. All three will be placed in Chirp magazine. Chirp is a canadian kids magazine focused on teaching elementary school kids about the environment and how they can help. There’s lots of cute art and images used in that magazine that are similar to my own work so I thought it would be a great fit.

The first one will be a ⅓ slim page ad to get kids to learn what a Bee City is and how they can start one. The second and third ads are ¼ page ads, the first one promoting the app where kids can get the latest info on the bees and other pollinators in canada. There’s also a QR code to scan to take them to the app store. The last ad is also promoting the app, kids will see it and wonder how can they help their local pollinators

The app is where everything happens, there is a store so you can buy the products, you also have the option of donating without buying any products if you’re feeling generous. There’s info cards on Bees and Bee City Canada’s efforts for conservation. Everything is kid friendly and easy to navigate

(Bee info from the Bee City Canada website  https://beecitycanada.org/about-pollinators/ )
The Stationary set uses a flower pattern I made in illustrator. I drew some simple flower and plant line art and used the same purple from the flowers in the logo as the background to make it all look cohesive. I chose purple as the background colour since it’s the complimentary colour to yellow (the main colour of the bee) and it gives the branding a child-like feel too.
