Cómic para la colaboración editorial con la artista barcelonesa Consol Llupiá y el artista brasileño Wallace Matsuko que recoge en formato papel el largo proceso de trabajo que genera el proyecto La Balena de El Prat a El Prat de Consol Llupiá.
El proyecto se origina en el momento en que Llupià conoce la historia de un cetáceo de diecinueve metros que aparece varado y muerto en la playa de El Prat de Llobregat, el 12 de mayo de 1983. Este hecho histórico-social permanece en el imaginario colectivo pratense y barcelonés y esqueleto termina siendo expuesto en el Zoo de Barcelona hasta la primavera de 2018.
Llupià trabaja sobre el caso con el objetivo de devolver el esqueleto de la ballena al mar Mediterráneo, proponiendo tejer un diálogo entre diversas instituciones, entidades y comunidades de ámbitos medioambientales, científicos, energéticos, jurídicos, sociales, deportivos, humanísticos y artísticos, reactivando una nueva fórmula de relación con la naturaleza y una nueva cosmovisión para su conservación.
Comic for the editorial collaboration with the Barcelonian artist Consol Llupiá and the Brazilian artist Wallace Matsuko that collects in paper format the long process of work that generates the project La Balena de El Prat a El Prat by Consol Llupiá.
The project originates from the moment in which Llupià learns the story of a nineteen-meter cetacean that appears stranded and dead on the beach of El Prat de Llobregat, on May 12, 1983. This historical-social fact remains in the collective imaginary of El Prat and Barcelona and its skeleton ends up being exhibited at the Barcelona Zoo until the spring of 2018.
Llupià works on the case with the aim of returning the whale skeleton to the Mediterranean Sea, proposing to weave a dialogue between various institutions, entities and communities from environmental, scientific, energy, legal, social, sporting, humanistic and artistic fields, reactivating a new formula of relationship with nature and a new worldview for its conservation.
