After reading the first part of “Don Quijote” in the original Spanish text, I challenged myself to choose one quote from each chapter that represented the main plot or the main themes of the section. I compiled these quotes in a book, hand-bound in the style that the original book may have been produced, with sewn signatures rather than glued pages. The pages were sewn with a link stitch and attached to the hand-painted (acrylic) covers, meant to evoke a feeling of stained wood, to create the final product. The page numbers correspond to the chapter of each quote.
