Adelle is described as, “A versatile and authoritative slab serif font family with no shortage of personality.” As I designed this typeface poster I tried to emulate as much of that description as I could with the different elements of this font. In order to do that, I chose bold, bright, playful colors that both show the personality of this font as well as its authority. To show it’s versatility, I placed emphasis on one of the serifs of the large A, used the font in a variety of different sizes and weights, and used more than one color for the type. A detail in the design that I feel brings everything together quite well is the way that both the "A" in the background and the "A" in Adelle mirror each other. This detail serves to include the negative space in the upper right corner in the overall design without it feeling empty. Overall, I feel that this pester does and excellent job of emphasizing different elements of the font while still promoting unity throughout the poster.

In addition to the vertical poster, I created a horizontal version with all the same elements. The horizontal version is not mocked up, but it is included below alongside the vertical version of the poster.
