The Manoa Now app is a comprehensive tool for students and faculty of the University of Hawaii Manoa. Featuring quick access to helpful resources at UH, as well as sponsored takeovers for events on campus.
The branding and creative direction for the app is inspired by the convergence of analogue and digital in the modern day of media consumption. Ka Leo, the Universityʻs student editorial envisions the app to be the bridge between their printed editions and online presence - providing their audience with the latest news in the moment. The colored bars reference both analogue CMYK and digital RGB, and play homage to UH Manoaʻs mascot the Rainbow Warrior.
This app is the winner of a 2017 Pele Gold Award in the Student Devision.
