Yellow Duck Rotisserie is a new casual restaurant that specializes on roasted Peking duck. The client wants a fun & quirky logo, so I came up with a duck nestled inside a Chinaware bowl whose rear feathers morphed into flames.
The logo is flexible enough for various orientations, but it’s best as vertically stacked (to remind the customers of the duck roasting process, where ducks are hung vertically). The logo posses a friendly vibe for families, but also sleek enough to attract young workers who works nearby the restaurant.
Duotone photos are used for promotional purpose with shades of vivid orang and yellow to reflect the intense process of the signature dish, the Peking duck. Photos with gritty texture are paired with a no-nonsense sans serif typeface.
