Just in time for tulip festivals this spring of 2023 - This is just one of many studies where I experiment with colour theory and composition. 

This warmly coloured tulip pops on it's complementary colours in the background - blue to blue green.

With the subjects reference photo being so uniformly orange - its nice to see some harmony come out of the contrast.

Only things I would do a bit differently is work on the surface sub scattering a bit more to give the petals some more translucence and blend the foreground colours into the background - just a touch.
