ARTUT
A contemporary water-sensitive urban design proposal, seeking to redefine tourism in a location considered to be a major drinking-water resource for an entire city while simultaneously being a well-known popular tourist destination famous for its restaurants.
Located in close proximity to the wall separating the drinking water reserve from the rest of the town and situated on a complex sloped terrain, the project primarily consists of a restaurant, a hotel, and a buffer zone containing a small gallery building. This proposal introduces the concept of using controlled water channels to enrich the tourist experience and to keep tourism waste under control simultaneously.
