Italian for "small" is Poco. "Fine"is Fino.

Pocofino, a San Juan favorite, planned on scaling up and opening a store in BGC. This called for them to level up their visual identity as well.

The ask was to do a simple brand refresh, and highlight the fact that they specialized in Italian coffee. Upon looking at tons of Italian references, cinema-like images of people having their espressos kept coming up. Whether it was someone sitting alone, a bunch of friends, lovers, or family, these people seemed like they were living straight out of old film pictures. We realized that this was the experience we wanted to sell.

Enjoy coffee and snacks at Pocofino BGC, where the colorful space takes you back to a moment in time. Escape Manila and treat yourself to an authentic Italian experience - after all,
it’s the small fine things.

More specific asks were to make it look "corporate friendly" for serious events and gifting, and to make the cup match the terrazzo tables since they were getting a lot of compliments for it.

I did not design the special packaging for Pocofino gifts, but I highly recommend that you do! They make the perfect unique gift sets for espresso lovers.

What I like about Pocofino is the owners mindfully price their items. Although Italian coffee is premium, and the beans are quite expensive, they make sure it is truly accessible to all. A quality americano here is cheaper than 100 pesos or $1.8  The cafe is also pet friendly, and they deliver via Grab around the central business district.

This was a small project from September 2022
Pocofino is at San Juan Greenhills and Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, Philippines
