The “United in The MarketPlace” Visual Typographic Illustration
Creating an illustration that portrays the diverse African cultures “without saying a word" required tapping into the diverse and rich culture & creative flow of Africa and their unique artistic patterns like the patterns on the Ndebele painted house in Zululand - South Africa , Motifs Inspired by the Adrinkra symbols of the Ghana people , weaved African basket patterns and also the Okpu Agu hat pattern of the Igbo people - Nigeria.
This “Personal Hypothetical Project” featuring “Street Souk” a world class streetwear convention drawing people/creatives audibly, together building a community while powering the growth of the streetwear industry in Africa. Really inspired me to;
Create a Visual Typographic Illustration I think unites “Us” (The African people) like streetsouk does. And;
creatively explore while trying to tell a story through a visual typographic illustration🫶🏼
