The objective of this project is to redesign the packaging of shoes to enhance sustainability. The new packaging should reduce environmental impact, promote recycling and reuse, and maintain or improve the functionality and appeal of current packaging solutions.
Jute, a natural fiber, is commonly used in the production of eco-friendly shoes due to its durability, biodegradability, and sustainability. Utilizing leftover jute from the shoe production process presents a significant opportunity to reduce waste and enhance sustainability within the footwear industry.
Traditional shoe storage often involves stacking shoeboxes, which can be space-consuming and inconvenient. An alternative method involves hanging shoes, offering numerous benefits in terms of organization, space utilization, and ease of access. This method also supports sustainability goals by reducing the need for bulky packaging.
