Given my interest in augmentation i looked at relating ideas. Those being Cyborgs, Transhumanism and augmentation. Transhumanism is a term i stumbled across and was sort of the focus for the research on these pages pages. Transhumanism describes the proposed use of technology to allow human beings to develop beyond their natural capabilities.

However before i could look at conceptual augments and technology that would enhance our capabilities I had to take a step back and look at modern day augmentation so i looked at prosthesis and neuroprosthesis.

after this research i was feeling the urge to create hence i drew some prosthesis from reference to familiarize myself with it. I am proud of theses drawings and this was the start of me experimenting with my linework which continues throughout this sketchbook 

One of our contextual studies was also very relevant to this theme and i found very interesting. Particularly the ted talk from Aimee Mullins.

These are other contextual studies that served to aid my FMP
