Shoreline Management Plan || Gwynedd Council

Gwynedd Council's FCERM department required new branding for the Shoreline Management Plan 2 bringing all towns on the plan into one place. This project required not only branding, but brochures, a website and photography. The project is supported by The Welsh Assembly Government, Natural Resources Wales, Gwynedd Council & YGC
The Council have very strict guidelines, so I was surprised when this image of the Cat on the roof was approved because of the sheer humour of it. I was thinking along the lines of 'who would pick this up?' personally I wouldn't want to pick up yet another boring Council Leaflet, So I tried to keep it lighthearted, bright colours but also highlight the effects of Flooding without it sounding like doom was inevitible!

750 of the Printed Brochures below were distributed free throughout Pwllheli. Other locations will soon follow suit.
Below are front covers that were rejected for the brochure.
Below are some of the photos I took to accompany website headers/posters etc. Sometimes it's better to see what could be potentially ruined if not looked after, than using the 'shock' factor and showing ruined homes and beaches.
Below is the accompanying website to the Shoreline Management Plan www.gwyneddsmp.info
