The Vpro Gids is a monthly dutch tv magazine. The cover of the magazine is always an interesting picture or artwork of a different artist. There are also competitions that take place and gives the artists the possibility to make their own cover for the Vpro Gids
There is also this competition that has the subject "no connection" where me myself made a front cover for. I took the subject very literally, therefor I drew the two hands that are simular to the one on the Leonardo Da Vinci painting because that was the first thing that came up for the subject of the competition. It's also something that everyone can relate to and know where the idea comes from.
Logo
I tried to give it a retro looking logo with a communist sentiment, without having to take the shape of the typography.
Next to that I gave the logo a little twist with some extra lines so it would fit together nicely with the illustration.
