I was looking for a way to utilise my time during my daily 20 minute train commute to work, when I discovered the doodle-functionality on Snapchat.

I started doodling wild animals, behaving like the humans I travel with on a daily base. I started posting them on twitter with a specific hashtag (#treinleven, of #trainlife when translated).

The biggest free newspaper in The Netherlands monitors this hashtag and started placing my drawings in almost every edition for several months in a row. They eventually reached out to me for an interview and a front page picture. Quite an adventure...
