The Planet Magazine
A Series of Layout Designs for an Environmental Magazine
This is a series of layouts and infographic samples for the Planet Magazine, an environmental advocacy publication that is a part of the Huxley College of the Environment on the Western Washington University campus. Over two school years, I worked with another designer to produce these five layouts. The sixth and final issue is in the works and is set for release in June of 2012.

I love working at the Planet and I will miss working with editors, writers and photographers to produce a professional, beautiful magazine when I graduate. Speaking of, photo credits are below.

From 2010-2011 I worked as a designer with Laura Beggs. From 2011-2012 I worked as lead designer with Sarah Morris.

Last year's design  competition results are in! The Planet Winter 2011 won second place in the AEJMC student publication category and the Spring 2011 edition won first place in the Washington Press Association layout category. So cool.

Winter 2012. In case you're wondering, this is when I spent three hours making bags out of Illustrator's gradient mesh. They came out so nicely that I used them in the Earth Day project too!
