It might come as a surprise to hear that wheat is Australia’s biggest export to Indonesia, worth more than $1 billion a year. The wheat is processed into flour which is used to make bread, biscuits… and noodles, a favourite Indonesian food. Australian Ambassador to Indonesia, Paul Grigson, and Australia’s Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment, Steven Ciobo, dropped by a Jakarta warung for a bowl of 'mie goreng'.
