Elliv, an annual talent show and the largest student-run event at Cedarville University, needed a website where students could vote for their favorite award nominees in a variety of often humorous categories. The site needed to be responsive and easy to navigate.

Solution

A simple, bold interface was designed to complement the Elliv brand. Multiple iterations were created during discussions wth the project team. My role on the project was UI/UX designer and front-end developer. Other members of the team took charge of the back-end and created a database for tracking user's responses.

Responsive design played a key role from early in the design phase. Large buttons make the site easy to use on a phone—the device of choice for most users. The site design allows for easy skimming but also provides detailed information for users wanting to learn more about the nominees.

The product launch was successful. In total, over 600 votes were counted leading up to the big show.
