This is a project born out of the challenge of Prof. António Silveira Gomes for the class to take an excerpt of the movie Mauvais Sang (1986), translate it to a musical score in milimetric paper, then moving them into digital form factor, experimenting visual artifacts, and finally producing it into a video.

The selected excerpt has several different moods and varying tone, including two different music tracks.

For my particular interpretation of the piece, during the early stages of development, I defined two main areas of the video as the two different songs played: J'ai pas d'regrets (Serge Reggiani) and Modern Love (David Bowie). They're very polarized moments which overtake most of the length and as such the key role had to be theirs. 

My visual approach was based on the gestalt principles, using typography as a mean, the depth in the placement of the objects, size, speed, proximity and direction, to convey meaning through it.
