Steelcase is a company dedicated to the development of different kinds of furniture, according to the place it’s going to be used. They are the leading manufacturers of furniture for offices, hospitals and schools by developing ergonomic solutions that not only satisfy physical needs, but also psychological ones in order to improve the user’s productivity and wellness.

The purpose for this project was to learn Mexico’s current working conditions and see how attention retainment factors differ from those around the world. By learning about these key distractors, we tried to find a solution through design to improve the productivity, motivate workers and find a balance between a better performance and worker’s health.

Concept: Offer a middle ground between the different kinds of working styles found in Mexican workplaces.

The project proposal involves a translucid mobile screen that allows for employees to create their own working spaces, moderating their desired level of privacy without completely excluding them from the working environment. 

Thanks to the shape of the screen, it can be arranged in different patterns in order to create different styles of workspaces depending on the users' needs.
