Redesign of ITEA quarterly journal
ITEA Journal is the quarterly journal of the International Tuba Euphonium Association. I redesigned the publication as part of a full rebranding for the Association (see the rebranding project on my Behance portfolio for more info). Covering pedagogy, history, and repertoire, the Journal also examines low-end brass instruments in the larger context of today’s music scene, profiling players of all genres.
Prior to the redesign, the Journal suffered from a lack of a consistent grid, crowded pages, and a dated, unimaginative design. With more conscious use of white space, a consistent grid, and creative typography, the new design helps position the Association as the premier professional resource for the tuba/euphonium performers, composers, students and educators of today. This in turn enhances ITEA's visibility and credibility with donors and philanthropic entities.
