"Sojourn" the Perfect Wine

"Sojourn"
Sojourn is a fictitious wine company inspired by the “Homer’s Odyssey”. In this epic journey, Odysseus, the main protagonist, is faced with many trials and tribulations. Because of his heroic nature, Odysseus is revered as the perfect man and can be described in three words.

I then took the description of these words and gave them spirit animals. Each animal strives to take its drinker on a journey with its unique wine and taste.
"Metis, the fox wine box, wine bottle, and coaster"
"Metis"
Metis, the cunning. Sometimes we just need a bit of inspiration to get us going. Take this foxy Zinfandel for a spin and see where it takes you. Accompanied by its beautiful orange color and aroma, this zinfandel is guaranteed to take you on a journey.
"Potlutas, the Stag wine box, wine bottle, and coaster"
"Potlutas"
Potlutas, the pain bearer. We all go through rough patches in our life, awaken the stag in you and keep moving. Pop this nice bottle of Pinot, and sit back. Sometimes you just need to let things pass by and take its course. Stags are known for their long harsh journeys, and  will guide you through yours.
"Arete, the Bear wine box, wine bottle, and coaster"
"Arete"
Arete, the gifted. An all-around creature, bears are considered the closest things to humans in the spiritual world. This Chinato will make you feel at your best with a very small amount. After all, it takes some courage to take on a bear.
The Creative Process

Everything from this project was created from scratch by myself. Each box was hand crafted and designed to tailor each wine. The designs were all laser etched on top of the wood, while the bottles themselves were given a sandblast for that frosted look.

This entire project plays on the interaction of the individual and the product. When you first approach the box you are welcomed by the wineries mysterious logo, intriguing the individual to peep inside. You then slide the door open and presented with this beautiful fined textured colored bottle. This texture makes you want to touch and pick it up, causing the reveal of the wine name and spirit animal inside.

After you get through with all that, you finally top it off by placing it on its uniquely designed wooden coasters. At this point, it signifies the completion of one journey and the start of another.
