Last month I was tasked with designing a logo for a social media channel called East Rising, showcasing the acheivements of Asian actors, artists, musicians, etc. 

I started by putting together the 5 different logo concepts seen here.

Here is one of the original mockups for my personal favorite logo concept, called "Moonrise"

The client ultimately decided on the "Ascend" concept, but we decided that the red color seemed to evoke too much communist imagery and that we'd be better off with a different color scheme.

After settling on Admiral Blue for the color and making some minor tweaks (most noatbly the change from "East Rising" to "East Rising Media", the logo design was finished.

The only thing left to do was provide some smooth motion so it could be used as an end-card for their videos.
