THE WEDDING BOUTIQUE
Most fashion brands make buying their product online simple. So simple in fact that it’s easy to forget that there still is a large human element involved behind each and every product we buy. White House Black Market deeply values this element and it can be seen in the excellent in-store experience they offer their customers. When it came to launching a wedding line, the challenge was to recreate that experience online.
Working tightly together with their brilliant in-house creative team, I created a portal for their new Wedding Boutique. The idea was to mimic the thrill of planning a wedding without conjuring the stress that can accompany it.
Premium photography was paired with custom illustration to create a checkerboard-like portal. Each square featured a different experience that allowed the user to easily shop and explore the products. Informative, interactive, playful, and engaging, the portal offered that personal touch that’s so easily lost online.
