BaMa Kid's Cafe

BAMA KID'S CAFE
LOGO | IDENTITY | BRANDING

Bama is a kid’s cafe located in District 2 of HCMC, Vietnam. Parents are able to relax and enjoy themselves whilst their toddlers are cared for. The cafe is focused at expat parents who are looking for a moment of R&R during the week, whilst still in the company of their children.
The environment is intended to be relaxing, not overstimulating, featuring an earthy color palette.
The logo is modern, simple and inviting, not playful or adorable - appealing to the parents more so than their kids. 'Ba' in Vietnamese means 'father', whilst 'Ma' means mother. The B and the M in the custom typeface are larger, to portray the parental relationship with their children - the a's. With the father, B, sitting outside to protect the family circle.
The primary shapes add a decorative element to the logo and collateral design but also subtly bring the theme of kids back into play. Shapes play an important role in childhood - learning, building, drawing, and play.
