I use graphics to communicate with the teens in the High School Youth Group at Eno River Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Durham, NC. These little graphics are easy to post on a variety of platforms, can be added to an email or texted with the remind.com service. Not only is it a visually interesting way to communicate, it saves time in redoing a message for many different platforms.
