Endure- the mark made for this design was wooden stick being inked then repeatedly pressed to tracing paper. The smudges are minimized stick marks as well.
Brittle- the mark made for this composition is from the butt-end of a metal ruler being inked then pressed to heavyweight paper. Small shadows were added.
Echo- this mark was made with keyring dipped in ink, then gently applied to printer paper. Various opacity filters were used in this composition.
This project was an exploration in mark-making by taking found objects, dipping them in ink (india and stamp pad ink) and applying them to various papers. The results of this experimentation were these compositions whose word matches the feel of the mark.
