Since I wanted to learn the parts of a Euphonium, I made this 'Anatomy of a Euphonium'. I don't play since I do not own one! It is very expensive, this model costs around €3,000.00, and most musicians agrees how expensive it is. Anyway here it is.
Anatomy of a Euphonium
Euphonium is a brass musical instrument that has a bass yet has a very warm sound. Well, it was derived from the Greek word 'euphōnos' (εὔφωνος) which means 'sweet-toned' after all.
It is not unusual to find Euphonium that has three valves, and as you see in the illustration, there are types that has four valves. If you are not familiar with the term, these valves are used to change the length of tubing of the instrument which allows the player to reach the notes on various harmonic series.
The use of fourth valve extends the range into a much lower register. In some design, the fourth valve is placed alongside with the other three valves, and there are also with the fourth valve on the side.

Brief overview on my workspace
Below is my workspace in Illustrator. Yes, I add my notes and references inside the workspace. I was initially planning to illustrate both Yamaha YEP 621 and Yamaha YEP 321 - one that is used by Natsuki, but for now, I only created the one used by Asuka and Kumiko, which is the Yamaha YEP 621. Though, Asuka used a silver one, so it's basically Kumiko's Euphonium. Oh they named her Euphonium as 'Jack', at least Sapphire did. Anyway, I haven't found any information about Kanade's Euphonium and I haven't watched the movie.
