Saiman Chow : WeAre / Burn & Broad

Scarf design for Burn & Broad

Saiman Chow was invited to contribute to WeAre, an experimental design project curated by Eugene Serebrennikov & Vicente Morillo.

Together they share the simple belief that collaborative creativity can spawn innovation and limitless possibilities. The first collective WeAre project brings together 12 multidisciplinary, multinational creatives to create a unique one of a kind artistic collection. Using scarves as the canvas, the merging of creative talent results in an exclusive artistic product that can be worn as a statement piece or framed as a piece of artwork. Each scarf has been produced and hand stitched in Spain using premium 100% silk satin fabric.

Saiman Chow is a multi- disciplinary creative, working under the titles of artist, animator, director, designer and illustrator. Born and raised in Hong Kong, Chow immigrated to Los Angeles in 1991, graduating with a BFA from Art Center College in 2001. Constantly re-inventing his approach, Chow’s work spans media and takes a variety of forms, from intricate stop-motion animations to digital illustrations and fine art. His work has been featured in publications such as Juxtapoz, Print Magazine, Beautiful Decay, and Tokion. Chow’s clients include, among many others: Apple, Adult Swim, Google, Nike, New York Times, SONOS and Warby Parker. He currently resides in Brooklyn.
