Kite flying Festival in Pakistan

Lahore city is known as the oldest city of kite flying festival in Pakistan. Everyone in Pakistan know this festival as Basant which was derived from Indian langauge which refers to spring season,this festival falls in late January and early February when crops are being harvested in Sub-Continent.

There are several kinds of kites with various different shapes and surprisingly each shape have its own name according to its features, in Pakistan everyone who used to celebrate Basant know most of these names as they were very commonly used  when one had to buy a kite of their choice. As kite flying is banned in Pakistan due to massive use of thread that could harm human lives. 

I researched on each kite name and their shape and made stickers of them which can be pasted on vehicles in Pakistan.

Why Stickers for cars?

This festival used to be the most hyped festival of the year and everyone used to wait for February for this festival and to keep this festival alive in Pakistani youth as our new born generation has not even seen such festival, vehicles are the best medium to transfer a message to one another. Pakistan is famous worldwide from truck art which includes Urdu poetry and multiple color paintings as it is a part of Pakistan tradition now and to keep one Festival alive in Pakistani's hearts, stickers on vehicles could be the best way out to make it word of mouth.

Each and every kite have its own shape and name accordingly, names are in Urdu and all Pakistani kite lovers can recall all the names of kites by looking at them, these names got famous by normal kite lovers and all others got to know about such names and each shape got categorized by a specific name in Pakistan.
